Book Information



Book 1: The Maze of Bones

The Maze Of Bones is the first book in the series written by Rick Riordan, who also made the story arc of the series. It starts with Grace Cahill changing her will moments before her death. William McIntyre talks with the mysterious Man In Black, and prepares Grace's funeral. It also introduces Amy and Dan Cahill, Grace's grandchildren who are now orphans and are being guided by Beatrice Cahill, Grace's sister. At the funeral, William invites some guests to Grace's mansion, including Amy, Dan, and Beatrice, and shows a video footage of Grace asking the guests to choose what will they pick: 1 million dollars or a clue that will lead them in becoming the most powerful person/persons the world has ever known. Amy and Dan accept the challenge, the cause of their aunt's disappointment towards them. Their relatives Ian and Natalie Kabra, The Holts, Alistair Oh, Irina Spasky, The Starling Triplets, and Jonah Wizard also accept the challenge. Not realizing how far the challenge will take them, they make an alliance with Alistair. They also learn that the clue is about Benjamin Franklin, and that their family has four branches, namely: Ekaterina, Janus, Lucian, and Tomas. Things get worse as Grace's mansion sets on fire and collapses; Alistair steals their only lead to the next clue; and they find out that the Man In Black is watching them. However, they continue their quest with the guidance of their au pair Nellie Gomez at Philadelphia. Figuring out the next clue, the Starling Triplets attack them, only to be hurt by a massive explosion. While Amy, Dan,and Nellie head to Paris for the first clue, will they learn the deaths of their parents, reveal the truth to Nellie, escape the traps set by the other teams and most importantly, escape the hands of the Madrigals?

The audiobook is narrated by David Pittu. It includes a bonus track about Grace's plane crash in 1982, while carrying a clue to Scotland for Anne Cahill.

Book 2: One False Note

One False Note is the second book in the series written by Gordon Korman. It starts with Amy, Dan, Nellie, and Grace's cat Saladin travel to Vienna to learn more about Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. After being attacked by the Holts, they steal a diary belonging to Nannerl Mozart from the Wizards. They travel to Salzburg, where they almost get caught in an explosion while following Alistair and the Man In Black. After escaping, they find out that a tracking device is installed in Saladin's collar. They attach it to Alistair, wherein they find a document about Venice. While Amy, Dan, Nellie, and Saladin move to Venice for the second clue, will they escape the trap prepared for them by the Kabras and find the owner of the tracking device?

The audiobook is narrated by David Pittu. It includes a bonus track about Grace's trial about her stealing Nannerl Mozart's diary from the Mozarthaus Museum.

Book 3: The Sword Thief

The Sword Thief is the third book in the series written by Peter Lerangis. It starts with Amy and Dan being separated from Nellie by the Kabras. They see Alistair, and decide to go to Tokyo with him. While there, Amy and Dan learn that Toyotomi Hideyoshi is Thomas Cahill's son. Suddenly, the Holts kidnapped them, and forced them to lead the way to the clue. At a subway, Amy, Dan, and Alistair barely escape a train, while the Holts ran away. At a hidden room, they dicover a clue to the third clue, only to be chased by the Yakuzas. They are rescued by Nellie and Saladin, who is accompanied by the Kabras. Amy and Dan agreed to team up also with the Kabras. While Ian and Amy start to fall in love with each other, the group learns that the next clue is in Seoul. At Alistair's house, Alistair, Amy, Dan, Ian, Natalie, Nellie, and Saladin find a secret passageway which leads to a library about their family. Amy learns about the first Cahills, and learns the next location of the clue. As they go to Mt. Pukhansan, will Amy and Dan survive the betrayal of the Kabras, save Alistair, and find the third clue?

The audiobook is narrated by David Pittu. It includes a bonus track about Bae Oh's conversation with an unidetified man, possibly the Man In Black.

Book 4: Beyond the Grave

Beyond the Grave is the fourth book in the series written by Jude Watson. It starts with Amy and Dan in Cairo, after learning that the next clue is about the Sakhet. They are almost caught by Irina. Amy, Dan, Nellie, and Saladin meet Theo Cotter, an Egyptologist, who helps them travel through the city. At a museum, Amy, Dan, and Nellie are chased by guards who caught them removing a tile which contains a clue, leaving Theo behind. While at a taxi, Amy and Dan learn that there was a letter given to Napoleon. At their hotel, Amy and Dan find the Ekaterina stronghold. After looking through several fatal inventions made by Ekats, Amy comes to a conclusion that Grace has been training them to be evil the whole time. While fighting with Amy, Dan finds holographic images of two Sakhets containing secret compartments. Suddenly, Alistair's uncle Bae Oh, leader of the Ekaterina, appears from nowhere. After Amy and Dan betrays him, Bae locks them in a glass, only to be saved by Nellie and Saladin. Meanwhile, Irina ponders her past about her life and her son. Across the hotel, Amy and Dan meet Hilary Vale, Grace's bestfriend. At Hilary's house, Hilary gives Amy and Dan a guidebook used by Grace and a Sakhet, and introduces her grandson Theo. Dan discovers a clue to the fourth clue in the Sakhet, and Theo tells him that it is Queen Nefertari's tomb. While there, the group discovers a threatening note, and leaves. Meanwhile, Irina investigates the tomb. Amy and Dan decide to go back, discovering the hieroglyphics to the next clue. Irina turns off the lights, and decides not to detonate the bomb in the tomb. However, she steals Grace's guidebook. Later on, Amy and Dan sees the Wizards, who traps them in a deserted island full of crocodiles. They are rescued by a fisherman, and transports them back to Nellie and Theo. At Agilkia Island, Amy and Dan discover that the clue is in Philae. While going there, will Amy and Dan trust once more Theo and Hilary, find the fourth clue, and trust Grace once more?

The audiobook is narrated by David Pittu. It includes a bonus track about Grace competing with Hilary and a teen named Martin Brown in a radio quiz show.

Book 5: The Black Circle

The Black Circle is the fifth book in the series written by Patrick Carman. It starts with Amy and Dan getting a telegram in Cairo. They go to the airport, leaving Nellie and Saladin alone. At the airport, Amy and Dan see Hamilton Holt, and find clues, such as 4 Russian cities, leading to the fifth clue from a mysterious NRR. They escape from the Holts, only to meet the Kabras. Amy and Dan also escaped from them, and they book a flight to Volgograd. After teaming up with the Holts, Amy, Dan, and Hamilton goes to The Motherland Calls statue, where they discover clues about Grigori Rasputin, Tsarevich Alexei, and Anastasia Romanov. With Irina, Amy and Dan go to St. Petersburg. After getting a message from NRR, they decide to go to the Yusupov Palace. It leads to The Dostoyevsky Statue, and they decide to go there. Finding the clue to the next clue, they go to the Kremlin in Moscow. While going there, will Amy and Dan discover the fifth clue, reunite with Nellie, and find out who NRR is?

The audiobook is narrated by David Pittu. It includes a bonus track about Grace talking with Anastasia Romanov.

Book 6: In Too Deep

In Too Deep is the sixth book in the series written by Jude Watson. It starts with Amy, Dan, Nellie, and Saladin arriving at Sydney, unknowingly followed by Isabel Kabra, Ian and Natalie's mother and the head of the Lucian. Amy realizes that they must learn about Robert Cahill Henderson. Later on, Amy and Dan meet Shepard "Shep" Trent, their uncle. As Amy, Dan, Nellie, and Shep go surfing, the Holts and the Kabras are on their trail. At Shep's house, Shep gives Amy and Dan an itinerary from their parents. Suddenly, Amy receives a phone call fro Ian saying to meet with him. While going there, Amy is blocked by Irina, who gives her 1 clue as a sign of peace. the clue is one sprig of rosemary. While outside discussing about the hunt, her parents, and the Kabras, the Kabras kidnap Amy, only to be saved by Hamilton. Isabel tells Irina to call another agent, and Irina ponders her past about the death of her son. Meanwhile, Amy discovers that Amelia Earhart was spying on Robert Henderson. The group decides to go to Coober Pedy, where they discover Robert Henderson's house. While the Kabras plan to go to Jakarta, Amy and Dan goes to Darwin, wherein Irina stays behind them unknowingly. Arriving there, Amy and Dan learn of the Kabras' flight to Jakarta. Shep convinces a pilot to borrow a plane to Jakarta, Nellie agrees to co-pilot, and the group flees before the airport's security tracks them. At the plane, Amy and Dan questions Nellie's personality. While going to Anak Krakatau, will Amy and Dan find the next clue, trust Nellie once more, and save their cousins and themselves from a fatal fire?

The audiobook is narrated by David Pittu. It includes a bonus track about Isabel Kabra being interviewed about parenting in a radio show. Suddenly, a Madrigal interferes on the radio show.

Book 7: The Viper's Nest

The Viper's Nest is the seventh book in the series written by Peter Lerangis. This time, it's no longer a game. Book 8: The Emperor's Code

The Emperor's Code is to be written by Gordon Korman. Book eight is scheduled to be released on April 6, 2010.. As the race to find the 39 Clues builds to its explosive finish, Amy and Dan must steal a Clue guarded by thousands of the world's best soldiers. After discovering the horrible secret of their family branch they start to question whether they're the good guys or the bad guys. With their enemies closing in, the siblings are separated. Together, they almost have a chance, but alone.... Could the search for this Clue spell the end of Amy and Dan? And while they are separated, could their Aunt Beatrice's detective find them?

Book 9: TBA

As hunt for the 39 CLues nears it end ,Amy and Dan Cahill think they can

see the light at the end of tunnel,just as their spirits are lifted they
uncover more shocking information about their past--from what happened
the night their parents died to the shattering dicovery of their family

The title of book ten is unknown and it is to be written by Margaret Peterson Haddix. Book ten is scheduled to be released on August 31, 2010.
